Afsheen Ebrahimy
Afshin has been my friend since junior high. He is one of the few people who share my passion for ties. He is a civil engineer by education. He is now involved in self-help and motivation books and as I understand is a proficient translator. He is an avid sci-fi fan and listens to good music and watches movies semi-professionally. His favourite character in the Harry Potter universe is Professor Severus Snape. |

Amir Khalaj
Famously known for his big nose. I have been friends with him since junior high. He studied architecture and has been working as a project manager, supervising construction of tall building complexes in Tehran. He is always ready to try something fun and has a good taste for baghala polo with mahicheh. |

Antonio Velardo
Italy Antonio is a flamboyant, active guy who is always looking forward to an opportunity to express his love of women and Cuba. Antonio did a Civil engineering degree in Loughborough. He is very friendly and a person one can get close to, fairly easily. He is doing very well in the real estate business now. |

Aufarin Moradi
I met Aufarin in a book fair in Tehran in my first year of university. She is without a doubt my most feminine friend. She is also among the very few women I trust. She is educated as an electrical engineer and is working in a consultant engineering firm in Tehran. She watches Friends and enjoys reading in her spare time. She also took gardening as a hobby a few years ago. It will always make her happy if you ask her about her vegetables. |

Bernardo Manuel Estevez Luis Coelho Martins The classic good guy. He is a kind guy who is serious about his studies and is very proud of his Guinness hat that he won as part of a drinking contest. He was my class mate and likes to cook weird sausages using other people's alcohol. He is now working for Rolls Royce in Derby. He is planning to get married soon, so congratulations! |

Brian Peter Hede Brian is the always sceptical, cynical guy with the one of the best senses of humour I have seen so far. If you have friends like him, you won't need enemies. He is doing a PhD in Loughborough and is fond of Pistachios, Chocolate Milkshakes and Toffifees. He plays golf and enjoys a good game of squash. He was the proud owner of the famous red Monedo (a.k.a. The BrianAir). Look at his web site here. |

Euan F. Kidd (a.k.a. the Duke)
Scotland The Duke is very well known for his good manners and highly regarded sense of humour. The last I heard of him, he was in charge of finding and losing people's luggage in the East Midlands Airport with a great emphasis on the latter. Euan is a licensed pilot and enjoys flying when he hasn't had a pint or twelve. |

Marta Ucieda Rodriguez
Spain Marta is the neighbour from heaven, she makes a hall of residence feel like home. She was on ERASMUS studying European studies two years. She then did a Masters in politics in Loughborough. Marta loves anything Spanish, doesn't like spicy food and is still trying to read Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix in English. |

Mehrad Vaezi Nejad
Mehrad has been my friend since the second year in junior high school. I have probably argued with this guy more than the total sum of my arguments with everybody else. He studied Mechanical Engineering and then did a masters in modern history in Royal Holloway University of London where he graduated with top marks and at the top of his class. He is currently a producer for BBC Perisan and have recently started researching towards a PhD in history. He used to play piano but now he just reads in his spare time. He is also known to be a good midfielder in football. He writes a colourful weblog in Persian : Taftestan. |

Mohammad Mansouri
When I entered University, Mohammad was doing his last year. He studied Industrial Engineering and is now living in California where he is apparently busy writing a book and building bridges of hope. He has a very special talent: give him three totally unrelated words and he can give you a two hour lecture about their relationship in different contexts. The important thing is that he would do so even if he doesn't know what the words mean. |

Nikos Paraskevas (a.k.a Crazy Nikos)
Greece Nikos is a crazy man with nothing on his mind except causing trouble, destruction and discord. He is doing a PhD about something concerning the media in Greece. Although he is extremely noisy (He plays the Electric guitar just to make matters worse), He has a good heart. He can be relied upon to be late for any kind of party, appointment, date, etc.. |

Ouldouz Mansour
I have been friends with her since grade school. She is a compassionate, intelligent and understanding person, who is a bit misguided. She has studied many things ranging from computer engineering to cinema. Unfortunately at this moment, I have no idea what she is doing. She enjoys reading and watching movies in her spare time. She is also fond of skiing. |

Panagiotis Blanos (a.k.a. Panos)
Greece Unsheath your swords and ride towards glory and hail the immortal king that will lead your souls to warriors' heaven. That sort of thing is Panos's game. He is studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering and is now in his final year. He likes proper Heavy metal music, enjoys everything Greek immensely and doesn't like programming very much. He is one of my concert mates. |

Payam Azadi
I met Payam through Ramin. He is my brother's best friend and over the years has become my good friend as well. He is very street-wise and smart in a very casual manner. He likes girls and watching girlie TV series in his spare time. |

Pheale Nilaam Chinayya (a.k.a. Phealy)
Mauritius His drinking capacity is a well matched by his susceptibility for falling in love with the wrong girl. I heard recently that this has changed and he is thinking about setlling down. He was one of my class mates. He watches cartoons and drinks in his spare time and enjoys McDonald's recently inflated McChicken sandwiches. |

Ramin Nassehi My brother Ramin (Roh-Mean) is six years younger than me. He recently received his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the Queen Mary University of London. He enjoys watching Friends, NBA games and listens to a plethora of music styles, some totally alien to my ears. |

Reza Imani I met Reza in my first year in Sharif university. His unrivalled intelligence and superb analytical capabilities are only matched by his laziness and reluctance for doing boring things. He studied Mechanical Engineering in Sharif University and is now doing his masters there. He has one of the best singing voices I have heard. He enjoys butter and everything that tastes like butter including Chicken Makhani. |

Shervin Farigam Another friend since junior high. He is without a doubt one of the most stubborn people I have known in my life. He studied Business Management in Tehran University and is now working in Irancell. He is also doing a Master's degree in management. He is the best Unreal Tournament player that I know of and enjoys first person shooters and strategy games in his spare time. Before having to go through a knee surgery, he was a very good striker. |

Soroush Ahmadi Soroush is one the friends that I lost and found once in my life. While I knew him in Junior High it took 5 years for us to find eachother again. He studied mining engineering and is considered by some to be a good sales engineer. He finished his military service recently and came out with the rank of a three star general. His choice of vocabulary while speaking Persian is one of the most colourful that I ever heard. He is, I think, the only friend I have who always showed up on time, without excuses. Everybody else, be ashamed of yourselves! |

Teresa Boedo Blanco (a.k.a. Tere) Teresa is probably one of the most colourful people that I have had the chance to meet. She is life incarnated. I now know that she was part of the reason that I never felt away from home in Loughborough. She is very very fond of good food and things with lots of colours and shapes. The Swedish candy, djungelvrål, is not one of them. |
